"Entre el cel i la mar" is the title of the show produced by the Talayotic Menorca Agency and the company iluminaM that will take place on October 6 in Trepucó, Maó. This mapping of light and music is part of the actions to celebrate the recent inscription of Talayotic Menorca on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Talayotic Menorca has been officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List this September 18 during the 45th Session of the World Heritage Committee held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

The Consell Insular de Menorca is organising the event to celebrate Talayotic Menorca as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on September 29, starting at 8 pm, in Son Catlar, Ciutadella. 

The Menorcan delegation is finalising preparations to travel to Saudi Arabia to take part in the 45th World Heritage Committee, where the inscription of Menorca Talayotic Menorca on the UNESCO World Heritage List is expected to be made official.

Rodríguez Uribes visits Torralba d'en Salort with the President of the Balearic Government and the President of the Consell Insular de Menorca prior to the participation of Talayotic Menorca in the World Heritage Committee that begins tomorrow in Saudi Arabia.

The president of the Balearic Government and the president of the Consell Insular de Menorca meet with José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes to prepare for Menorca’s participation in the World Heritage Committee from 17 to 19 September in Riyadh.

This month we interview Antoni Ferrer Rotger, archaeologist and director of the Talayotic Menorca Agency. Specialised in the prehistory and protohistory of the Balearic Islands, he has a long career in the field of research.

This excavation, that has never been carried out before in Menorca, allows to document what rural life was like for the Christian repopulators of the island after the conquest of 1287.

This Bronze Age copper mine is one of the few mining sites of its kind in southern Europe. Menorca's prehistoric communities extracted copper ores from the mine for about 900 years.

In addition to these remains, which have not yet been dated, the Amics del Museu de Menorca team has found a very interesting set of indigenous and Punic Ebusitan crockery. A visiting day is scheduled for July 20 at 7.30 pm to explain the preliminary results of this intervention to the public.

The Catalan violist wins a 2,000-euro study grant, the prize in this competition organised by Amics del Museu de Menorca and the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Consell Insular (Island Council).

The event will take place next Monday, July 10, from 7.30 pm in Torralba d'en Salort. The winner of Becatalaiotica 2023 will be announced and the winning event of the last edition will be repeated.
