Seminars: Summer course about Talayotic Menorca at UNED

naveta01 Jul

The Talayotic culture of Menorca was declared a World Heritage Site in September 2023. In this course we will approach the life and death of its protagonists from the archaeological sites in the context of Balearic and western Mediterranean prehistory. We will look at this cultural heritage from a current perspective, also considering the new methodologies applied in the study. Attendance can be on-site or online (live or recorded).

The objectives are:
- To learn about the prehistory of the Balearic Islands and the western Mediterranean.
- To study the Talayotic culture in depth.
- To relate cultural heritage to sustainable tourism.
- To analyse new technologies applied to archaeological research and the study of symbolism.
